防(fang)災科技學(xue)院隸屬于中國地震局,是全(quan)(quan)國僅有的以防(fang)災減災救災高(gao)等教育為主、學(xue)科門(men)類齊全(quan)(quan)的綜合性全(quan)(quan)日制(zhi)普通高(gao)等學(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)。學(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)始建于1975年,面向全(quan)(quan)國招(zhao)生(sheng)(sheng),現有全(quan)(quan)日制(zhi)在校(xiao)(xiao)生(sheng)(sheng)9200余(yu)人。2021年2月,應(ying)急管(guan)理部黨委(wei)決定(ding)合并華北科技學(xue)院和防(fang)災科技學(xue)院籌建應(ying)急管(guan)理大學(xue)。
學(xue)校立足(zu)防災(zai)(zai)減災(zai)(zai)行業,面(mian)向應急管理事業和經濟(ji)社會發展(zhan)(zhan),逐步(bu)形成(cheng)了以全日制(zhi)本(ben)科教(jiao)育為(wei)主體(ti),碩士(shi)研(yan)究生(sheng)教(jiao)育、成(cheng)人學(xue)歷教(jiao)育、行業培訓等多層(ceng)次、多類型(xing)并(bing)存的(de)現代辦學(xue)體(ti)系。學(xue)校構建了涵(han)蓋(gai)自然災(zai)(zai)害(hai)成(cheng)因機理、發生(sheng)發展(zhan)(zhan)、防災(zai)(zai)減災(zai)(zai)措(cuo)施、應急救援處置、災(zai)(zai)后恢復(fu)重(zhong)建等全過程(cheng)、一體(ti)化的(de)學(xue)科體(ti)系和科研(yan)平臺體(ti)系。

學(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)著力(li)開(kai)辟凝練(lian)了(le)(le)(le)(le)地(di)(di)(di)震(zhen)(zhen)(zhen)前(qian)兆背景場、巖土工(gong)程(cheng)抗震(zhen)(zhen)(zhen)、城市(shi)防(fang)震(zhen)(zhen)(zhen)減(jian)(jian)災(zai)規(gui)劃(hua)、城市(shi)震(zhen)(zhen)(zhen)害(hai)(hai)預測(ce)、地(di)(di)(di)震(zhen)(zhen)(zhen)地(di)(di)(di)質災(zai)害(hai)(hai)、地(di)(di)(di)震(zhen)(zhen)(zhen)觀測(ce)信(xin)息處理、地(di)(di)(di)震(zhen)(zhen)(zhen)前(qian)兆觀測(ce)儀器、災(zai)害(hai)(hai)風險與(yu)應急管(guan)理等8個特色研究方向,形成了(le)(le)(le)(le)較為完(wan)備的防(fang)災(zai)減(jian)(jian)災(zai)科研體系。學(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)承擔了(le)(le)(le)(le)防(fang)震(zhen)(zhen)(zhen)減(jian)(jian)災(zai)規(gui)劃(hua)編制(zhi)項(xiang)目等行業技術服務、社會(hui)服務項(xiang)目200多項(xiang),取(qu)得了(le)(le)(le)(le)良好的社會(hui)和公共效(xiao)益。學(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)深度參與(yu)了(le)(le)(le)(le)汶(wen)川地(di)(di)(di)震(zhen)(zhen)(zhen)、玉(yu)樹地(di)(di)(di)震(zhen)(zhen)(zhen)、蘆山地(di)(di)(di)震(zhen)(zhen)(zhen)、九寨溝地(di)(di)(di)震(zhen)(zhen)(zhen)、松原地(di)(di)(di)震(zhen)(zhen)(zhen)、長寧地(di)(di)(di)震(zhen)(zhen)(zhen)等重大災(zai)害(hai)(hai)的現場救援、科學(xue)考(kao)察、災(zai)害(hai)(hai)損失(shi)評估以及中小學(xue)房屋破壞情況考(kao)察工(gong)作。汶(wen)川地(di)(di)(di)震(zhen)(zhen)(zhen)抗震(zhen)(zhen)(zhen)救災(zai)期間(jian),學(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)向中央提出了(le)(le)(le)(le)“全(quan)國(guo)中小學(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)舍安(an)全(quan)工(gong)程(cheng)建議(yi)”被教育部等有關部委采納,隨(sui)后,一場聲勢浩大的“校(xiao)(xiao)安(an)工(gong)程(cheng)”在全(quan)國(guo)鋪開(kai),極大提高了(le)(le)(le)(le)全(quan)國(guo)校(xiao)(xiao)舍地(di)(di)(di)震(zhen)(zhen)(zhen)安(an)全(quan)保障。
學(xue)(xue)校教(jiao)育教(jiao)學(xue)(xue)設(she)施(shi)完備,建有現代(dai)化(hua)圖(tu)(tu)書(shu)館(guan)、網(wang)絡信息中心(xin)、室內(nei)體育館(guan)、游泳館(guan)、高標準(zhun)運(yun)動場(chang)等(deng)設(she)施(shi)。圖(tu)(tu)書(shu)館(guan)館(guan)藏文(wen)獻103萬余冊(ce),“中國知網(wang)”“維(wei)普期刊”“匯雅書(shu)世界”“港(gang)澳博碩學(xue)(xue)術資源庫(ku)”“庫(ku)克(ke)數(shu)字音樂圖(tu)(tu)書(shu)館(guan)”等(deng)近30個電子資源數(shu)據庫(ku)。建有地(di)震(zhen)科學(xue)(xue)、工(gong)程地(di)震(zhen)、土(tu)木工(gong)程、信息技術等(deng)多個實(shi)(shi)驗中心(xin),有各類實(shi)(shi)驗室87個,擁有國內(nei)高校最(zui)(zui)先進、最(zui)(zui)齊全的地(di)震(zhen)監測類儀器(qi),教(jiao)學(xue)(xue)、科研儀器(qi)設(she)備資產總值3.4億元,生均教(jiao)學(xue)(xue)科研儀器(qi)設(she)備值3.51萬元;建有秦皇島黃金海岸教(jiao)學(xue)(xue)實(shi)(shi)習、北川防(fang)震(zhen)減災綜合能力培養與大學(xue)(xue)生社會(hui)實(shi)(shi)踐(jian)、北京(jing)通州科技成果轉化(hua)等(deng)校外實(shi)(shi)踐(jian)教(jiao)學(xue)(xue)基地(di)100余個。
學(xue)校作(zuo)為(wei)我國(guo)防(fang)震減(jian)災(zai)基(ji)礎人(ren)才培(pei)養的(de)核心基(ji)地,已為(wei)地震系統和(he)社會(hui)培(pei)養了近5萬名(ming)畢(bi)業(ye)生,畢(bi)業(ye)生以扎實(shi)的(de)專業(ye)基(ji)礎、較(jiao)強的(de)實(shi)踐能力(li)和(he)勇于(yu)擔(dan)當(dang)、吃苦耐(nai)勞(lao)的(de)優秀品質受到社會(hui)的(de)廣泛(fan)認可(ke),多人(ren)獲得各級(ji)科技(ji)進步獎及(ji)全國(guo)和(he)省級(ji)勞(lao)動(dong)模(mo)范(fan)稱號,地震系統70%的(de)地震監測(ce)一線人(ren)員,80%的(de)地震臺(tai)(站)長(chang)畢(bi)業(ye)于(yu)此(ci),學(xue)校因此(ci)被(bei)譽為(wei)“地震系統的(de)黃埔軍校”。
