范文

Regardless of the various types of bread-and-butter projects that entail people's urgent attention as well as considerable cost, a growing number of people also spend much on entertainment, such as visiting museums regularly. However, despite the fact that some museums are free of charge, there still exist numerous exhibitions which require people to purchase tickets or even force them to buy the so-called ‘unique' souvenirs. Personally, I believe that this would bring more demerits than benefits.

First of all, charging the admission may demotivate people to have access to various museums and hinder the improvements of the appreciation and education level of the public. Museums are always considered as the repositories of knowledge, through which people discover and explore various aspects of humanity. Therefore, if the museums were free of charge and available to all who are interested in gaining knowledge, especially to those from underprivileged families, like reading books in the library, exhibits of arts and other objects of cultural, scientific, and historical significance in the museums would be tools for life-long education.

Another reason is that free access will not only encourage more people to find out more about their country but also promote feelings of national unity and identity, leading to better understanding of national cultures and histories. More specifically, the history is intimately bound up with the cultural legacy bestowed by ancestors, and therefore visiting museums is a great way of informing people offspring of their splendid history, which may promote their cultural identity, sense of belongings, and meanwhile boost the integration of diverse cultures.

Admittedly, the core issue is the costs of exhibitions and preserving cultural relics are extremely expensive to run, while the income from the ticket may alleviate this burden to some extent. However, this issue could be possibly solved by the financial support from the government.

To summarise, in spite of all merits that charging the citizens can bring about, I am firmly convinced of the drawbacks of this inappropriate method are more evident. This is mainly because considerable knowledge can be provided to more people and the enhancement of national unity that may be aroused by means of free admission to museums.

首(shou)先,對門(men)票收(shou)費(fei)可能會(hui)降低人們(men)進入各種(zhong)博(bo)(bo)物(wu)館(guan)的(de)積極性,阻(zu)礙公眾欣(xin)賞和(he)教(jiao)育水(shui)平的(de)提高。 因此(ci),如(ru)果博(bo)(bo)物(wu)館(guan)免(mian)費(fei)提供給所(suo)有有興趣獲(huo)取(qu)知(zhi)識的(de)人,尤其(qi)是來(lai)自貧困(kun)家(jia)庭的(de)人,比如(ru)在圖書館(guan)看(kan)書,那么(me)博(bo)(bo)物(wu)館(guan)中的(de)藝術展(zhan)品和(he)其(qi)他具有文(wen)化、科學和(he)歷(li)史意義的(de)物(wu)品將是終身教(jiao)育的(de)工(gong)具。
