An increasing number of women in recent times are involved in jobs originally meant for males and vice versa.This trend triggers a heated discussion on whether males or females fit the same type of work based on individual characteristics.My perspective is that in today’s scenario,women and men are capable of having the same kind of careers because individual ability is far more essential than gender difference.

Those who advocate males and females are compatible with specific tasks may have their reasons.Men are blessed with decisiveness,strong will and physical endurance,allowing them to be well-qualified for physically demanding activities such as military service,building or mining.On the other hand,females are considered exceptionally prominent at taking care of household chores and cultivating children.Most women are emotional,considerate or meticulous by nature,so they are more suitable to be employed in the careers such as nursing or teaching.

However,with the spread of education and equal rights,individual ability is far more significant than gender identity.A growing number of women are undertaking the same important social positions which are supposed to be dominated by men for a long time and perform beyond public expectations.Also,women’s social status has been improved thanks to the success of world-class businesswomen and politicians,Angela Merkel for example.In the same way,men indulge themselves in household tasks and choose to be pink-collar workers.An illustration of this is that men started to work as kindergarten teachers or nurses in many societies.

In conclusion,although men and women have been separated with distinct features facilitating them to do different tasks,I believe each gender can expose equally effective performance to the opposite gender.
