Due to the uncertainty of the future,many people today tend towards taking things that may or may not happen into consideration in advance while deliberately or unconsciously lowering the priority of present issues.Personally,the issues in the future deserves the attention,yet current problems faced by people also need to be catered carefully.

Admittedly,people do benefit from planning ahead,especially when considering the fact that the preparation of solutions to problems such as energy crisis and natural disasters usually takes time.On a country’s level,should sufficient time be allowed to technology accumulation,more alternative energy sources and proactive intervention could be expected.When it comes to individuals,thinking in advance usually contributes to the alleviation of panic by enabling them to get well-prepared for any risks.After all,most people today can perform in a calm manner as long as they have some backup schemes proposed in the past.

On the other hand,I would have to clarify that laying emphasis on planning ahead does not necessarily weaken the importance of the current status.People ought to be psychologically ready to be confronted with unpredictable problems on a daily basis and be realistic by tackling immediate challenges at hands first.I do not see the point of shifting focus from today’s disturbing problems like starvation and deforestation to the concerns about risks that have not happened yet at the expense of the life of millions of impoverished people and global environmental degradation.Ignoring or delaying such cases seems irresponsible and inadvisable to me.

To sum up,even though I believe it is of vital importance to plan for the future,I believe focusing on current issues and being realistic can be equally significant.
