I’d like to share an experience I had when I was starting to learn French in college about two years ago.

我想分(fen)享一(yi)個我兩年前準備在大(da)學學習法語的經歷。

You know,French wasn’t a course in our school until I entered college.I guess it was probably because there was an increasing need for students to learn that.For this reason,our school administration decided to open this course as an elective.But,there was only one French teacher available in our school who had to teach four different classes.The entire French learning time during that academic year was actually not that enough.

直到我(wo)上大學(xue)那會兒，我(wo)們(men)學(xue)校才開設(she)(she)法(fa)(fa)(fa)語(yu)課程(cheng)。我(wo)猜是(shi)因為當時(shi)學(xue)習法(fa)(fa)(fa)語(yu)的(de)(de)需求在逐漸增加。出于這(zhe)個原因，我(wo)們(men)學(xue)校的(de)(de)管(guan)理者決定開設(she)(she)一門法(fa)(fa)(fa)語(yu)選修課。但是(shi)，當時(shi)我(wo)們(men)學(xue)校只有(you)一位法(fa)(fa)(fa)語(yu)老(lao)師有(you)空(kong)，她(ta)要同時(shi)教授(shou)四個不同的(de)(de)班級。在那一整個學(xue)年的(de)(de)法(fa)(fa)(fa)語(yu)學(xue)習時(shi)間(jian)其實(shi)是(shi)不夠的(de)(de)。

So,I had to seek other methods to polish my French language skills.And,one crazy thing I did was to find an international student from France on our campus as a language partner.It took me about a week to find a guy who was willing to do so.We normally have a meet-up biweekly as both of us were quite busy at school.When we got together,this article is from Laokaoya website,we usually grabbed some food at the nearby cafe and spent a whole afternoon chatting.He taught me whatever he could about things in French,and I helped him improve his Chinese.Even when the covid happened,we didn’t stop.We just moved our conversation online.

所以(yi)(yi)，我(wo)(wo)不得不找其它法(fa)子(zi)來(lai)提(ti)升我(wo)(wo)的(de)語(yu)言技(ji)能。我(wo)(wo)做(zuo)(zuo)的(de)一(yi)(yi)件(jian)比(bi)(bi)較瘋狂的(de)事情(qing)就是(shi)在(zai)學(xue)(xue)校找一(yi)(yi)位(wei)法(fa)國(guo)的(de)留(liu)學(xue)(xue)生當做(zuo)(zuo)語(yu)伴。我(wo)(wo)花(hua)費了(le)大(da)概一(yi)(yi)周(zhou)的(de)時(shi)間找到了(le)一(yi)(yi)個愿意(yi)這樣(yang)做(zuo)(zuo)的(de)小哥(ge)。由于我(wo)(wo)們(men)(men)在(zai)學(xue)(xue)校都比(bi)(bi)較忙，所以(yi)(yi)我(wo)(wo)們(men)(men)會(hui)每(mei)兩周(zhou)碰面一(yi)(yi)次(ci)。當我(wo)(wo)們(men)(men)聚在(zai)一(yi)(yi)起的(de)時(shi)候，我(wo)(wo)們(men)(men)會(hui)去周(zhou)邊的(de)咖(ka)啡廳吃點東(dong)(dong)西(xi)，然后(hou)閑聊一(yi)(yi)個下(xia)午。他會(hui)盡可能用法(fa)語(yu)教我(wo)(wo)任何(he)東(dong)(dong)西(xi)，我(wo)(wo)會(hui)幫助(zhu)他來(lai)提(ti)升漢語(yu)。即便是(shi)疫情(qing)發生了(le)，我(wo)(wo)們(men)(men)也(ye)沒(mei)有停下(xia)來(lai)。我(wo)(wo)們(men)(men)把(ba)我(wo)(wo)們(men)(men)的(de)談(tan)話挪(nuo)到了(le)線上進行。

Well,I think the biggest benefit I got from that experience was that I am now way more confident and fluent in striking up a French conversation than in the past.

我覺(jue)得(de)我從那個經(jing)歷中(zhong)獲得(de)的(de)最(zui)大回報就是我比(bi)以前能夠更加(jia)流利且自信地用法語(yu)談話了。

I’m grateful that I got this opportunity to learn French.You know,not everyone can have that chance to find a partner like this to practice a foreign language.

我也(ye)很(hen)感激(ji)我有(you)這么一個(ge)(ge)機會(hui)來(lai)(lai)學(xue)習法語(yu)。要(yao)知道，并非每個(ge)(ge)人(ren)都能(neng)夠有(you)這么一個(ge)(ge)機會(hui)去找個(ge)(ge)語(yu)伴來(lai)(lai)練習一門外語(yu)。
