【題目解析】

該流程圖(tu)展示的(de)是(shi)家庭垃圾填埋(mai)裝(zhuang)置的(de)建造以(yi)及使(shi)用(yong)過(guo)程。圖(tu)中分為建造(construction)，使(shi)用(yong)(use)和(he)密(mi)封(feng)(closure)三個(ge)部(bu)(bu)分。從圖(tu)中可知，填埋(mai)點需(xu)要先在自然巖層(ceng)(natural rock)中挖坑，之(zhi)后鋪設粘土(clay layer)以(yi)及合成材(cai)料(liao)層(ceng)(synthetic lining)，在底部(bu)(bu)有排水管(drainage pipes)以(yi)及排水箱(drainage tank).

The design of a landfill for residential waste,including details about the construction and usage is illustrated in the diagram.

It is noticeable that the whole process takes place in the natural environment.Specifically,to construct the landfill,a deep rectangular hole needs to be dug,which is cut into a large piece of natural rock.After that,a clay layer and a synthetic lining are placed against the rock,while at the bottom of the landfill are some drainage pipes and a drainage tank.

Once the construction is done,trucks carrying household waste can dump household waste into the landfill for storage and the waste liquid is held in the drainage tank.Finally,the tank is sealed with a clay cover,leaving a vent connecting the outside to allow the gases inside to discharge.

To sum up,it is a relatively simple way to build and use a landfill to dispose of residential waste,which does not involve a complicated process or various materials and equipment.
